How does dropping a class impact your GPA?

• W or WD = does not impact GPA
  

  • “Official Withdraw” via CUNYfirst during withdrawal period Until November 5 (but you don’t get money back!)

• WN = does not impact GPA​
  

  • Never attended the class + doesn’t officially withdraw

• WU = does impact GPA​
  

  • Attended one class, stopped and never officially withdrew

  • Counts as an F for GPA

  • Can retake and earn C or better to clear from GPA (but WU stays on transcript)

PLEASE NOTE: Dropping a class can also affect your financial aid.
